"No Rest For The Weary"

Autumn Leaves Cabin Pictures, Images and Photos
Long days,lazy ways,
Late day sun,harvest done.

Red leaf shine,pumpkin time,
Cold feet,wood stove heat.

Crying bull,freezer full,
Apples boxed,old wool socks.

Cold holding steady,flannel robe ready,
Preserves jarred for keeping,Mother Earth soon sleeping.

Wood piled high,Apple pie
Teapot steaming,old shed leaning.

Ready for snow window high,
Winter work is drawing nigh...Dancingfire

This conjures up such good things my Flannel Robe Sister! :)

I love the photo you chose to go with your poem as well.

I can see you there in your kitchen, making coffee, stoking up the woodstove, toasting some bread and talking with Sylvie early mornings...makes me want to be there with you, more than ever!

Walking in the woods down to the creek, arm in arm and giggling like school girls but once arriving near water's edge slipping into holy silence as we both realize Mother Earth And Father Sun speak to us here, at this sacred spot...ahhhh...there we are, a word for it.

You are Holy! You are Divine...and I love you so very much! xoxoxoxo
